Bastille Day is July 14th. Let’s celebrate this wonderful city.
Paris……
I love….. freshly baked croissants and baguettes, choosing cheese at the local fromagerie, punnets of summer’s new seasons berries, french champagne, pastry shops, sitting in cafés watching the world go by, local food markets, Paris’ many fabulous restaurants…….
but it’s not all about food
I love……the Place des Voges,  finding new covered passageways, the Palais Royal, exploring arrondissements with two numbers, flowers at the Hotel George V, Paris’ lesser known museums, Sainte Chapelle, The Hamlet  at Versailles…….
What do you love about Paris?
What a gorgeous collage!!! 🙂 What do I love about Paris? I love coffee in little cups, long, lingering dinners with copious amounts of wine, wandering the streets without a destination or a time frame, sitting on a bench in a park and watching people, strolling in the early morning or late at night when the streets are nearly empty. I love it. 🙂
Thanks to you Krista with your collage tip! 🙂 Spending as much time on them as pinterest!! Paris means so many different things to everyone. It’s great to hear what you love about it. Oh to be back there…….
Hello, I found your blog via Problogger (i’m a blog writer too, going to their Melbourne event in October!). Thank you for sharing this beautif post and photos with us for Bastille Day.
I was born in Paris but grew up in the South of France (Carcassonne).
I’ve been living overseas for 6 years, and I always feel a little home sick on July 14th!
Great to see you here Cyndie! It must be hard being here and not celebrating Bastille Day with your family and friends. I had a great visit to Carcassone a few years ago- the countryside around the town is so interesting. See you in October!
A wonderful collage. I like it a lot. I am toying with the idea of a house-sit in the french countryside, but I have this niggling language inspired doubt in my mind!
Thanks Jan. Quick, reply and accept before it disappears!! It will be fantastic. You’ve got time to learn a few words of French!!
I love this collage! Happy 14 Julliet!
Thanks Edna. Enjoy your Bastille Day celebrations in Paris. Will be a fun day!
Everything you have listed above as ‘loves’ are things I wouldn’t disagree with. Cheers Jenny! Such gorgeous photos! *clink* PS I remember your Hotel George V post! Divine!
Thanks Marina, it was fun putting it together! There are so many things to love about Paris, I could have kept going for ever! *Cheers*
LOVE your Paris pictures! I’ve got a similar one of the radishes from the markets in on Richard Lenoir in Bastille 🙂
Thanks Natasha. I love taking photos of French radishes….and then eating them with with just a bit of salt. Delicious!
I don’t know yet but I can’t wait to find out!
I will have a feeling that the markets and foodie experiences in general will be a couple of them.
Murissa
…and the gardens, the palaces, the museums, the shops.. You’ll just love it!
Hm….the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Paris is romance. Don`t know why really, just something in the back of my mind says “come to Paris and fall in love all over again”… and believe me some day soon I will 🙂
I fall in love with Paris every time I visit! I hope you get back there very soon. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
