The men and women of the Masai Mara welcomed us to their village with with traditional music and dance. They decorated us with their jewellery and proudly showed us their homes. We were constantly followed by a trail of beautiful children wanting their photos taken. A stunning day.

We seem to have a fear of colour in European countries and I’ve never seen why. I LOVE all the vibrant colours in this photo. We should just go for it, loud and proud! 🙂

The colour is fantastic. With the Masia Mara people’s love of music and dance you could not envisage them in anything other than the vibrant colours. I wonder if it’s also something to do with the open spaces!
I have only been to Zanzibar in Africa. I need to see so much more.
Once you start going to Africa, you want to keep going back again and again! It’s addictive
A fascinating country and a continent that I have yet to visit. What a great photo! This is some intricate beadwork!
Thanks Marina. I loved every minute of the trip to Kenya and am desperate to go back. The women were amazing in their colours and their beadwork. They put necklaces on us but they didn’t quite look the same!!
